Rema boredly walked around the outskirts of Arvila, occasionally stopping to test the air for any unfamiliar scents. Nothing. Well, only the scent of the average human. The same dreary scent she despised, why? It was so damned common, it was disgusting. She partially snarled to herself at the thought of it, and continued walking. Only to find a nearby human pass by. Great, just was she needed. She merely pinned the creature down, sitting down on it's spine.
She ignored it's muffled cries of agony or help. Only, concentrating on her surroundings. A new scent came about. It smelt of death, another common scent she was used to. She grinned to herself. Despite the death, it smelt very much alive. This could be interesting. It would also vanquish her boredom.
OOC: Well, this officially sucks. Also, yes. Rema is well known for sitting on people. XD

"Ara, what a beautiful night...how are nights ever this nice in Daevir," Kaen sighed, taking out out one of his last cigarettes. He has been controlling himself from buying the large plump ones lately knowing it was bad for the lungs and people around him, mainly since its bad for the people close to him. Releasing a small plume of smoke he let go another sigh. This felt wrong...this was not where he belong. Yet it gave him a sense of relief and peace.
"The night is beautiful."

Rema's ears twitched at the sudden sound of words. She assumed the figure was much closer then she had assumed. Death itself was hard to track, it's scent could seem far away; when it was dead close. As the current case was exactly that. She closed her eyes, inhaling a large amount of air before getting off of her comfortable seat that was the human. Now smoke emitted from the scent of the death. It smelled awful, however; so did humans. She shrugged the discomfort off, following the sound as the figure spoke again.
It was something about the night being beautiful. She looked up at the sky, she had always appreciated it's magnificence. As her old family had every night, it was habit. "Indeed, it is." She responded, reluctantly walking closer to the figure. He looked human, just didn't smell of it. Well, he had a very faint smell of human... But that was it. She stopped a distance away from the figure, unsure the reaction she'd receive from it. She wasn't even sure if he was worth getting close to.
Humans were stupid. Really stupid. Why would this one be any different? Plus, she hardly warmed up to anybody. It wasn't worth it, because those individuals eventually died. Not that she should complain, she killed plenty of creatures. She shook the thought off, finally getting the guts to approach the awkward man. The hairs on the back of her neck stood up, while her mind screamed for her to leave, rather then approach. She didn't, however. Curiosity overruled her at this moment, it might even be a dreadful mistake.
"You are different, you are not like them..." She muttered, sitting only inches away from the figure.

Kaen turned, staring at the bulking figure that loomed over him. It seemed to be a for legged creature not humanoid in the least at the moment. He let out another sigh, this one perhaps worth a whole century from what he can tell. Was he really that different from others, from what he can tell, he looked exactly the same as anyone else. Than again, there were more things than look to tell if someone was a human or...a monster.
"Indeed, my life isn't as fragile as a regular human is. There are so many ways to kill such things." he chuckled, amused by this old joke. How many times has he spoken to other like this...probably none until now. He suddenly frowned, the hulking figure before him could be an enemy, who was he kidding, like he cared in such a beautiful night. It would be the best day of his life if he could die under such starlight, but that was impossible, he had given up all hope.
Turning to the figure, he was probably hallucinating from the smoke, nah, his smoke wasn't like that.
"You know, not once have I seen this sort of night until now, as I can remember...it was always pitch black, clouded, rainy, or fogged up." he commented before extinguishing his smoke. Perhaps it was the cigar.

Rema closed her eyes, listening as the man spoke. She nodded at his 'fragile' comment. Humans were very fragile, that was the truth. "Humans die easily," she murmured in response, opening her eyes to gaze at the figure. At this point, he was turned to her; looking at her. Which was odd, she hadn't ever recalled a human looking directly at her unless they were stupid. She was taken aback by his comment, it wasn't something she was expecting to hear. She partially looked up at the figure - who wasn't that much taller then her - before giving her reply.
"Pity, it is night like these that make life worth living." She quickly flattened her ears against her skull, snarling to herself. The comment she had just recited was foreign, even for her. Normally she'd give a blunt comment and tell someone to suck it up. Only, again, this man was different. She turned her head, looking away from him. "What is your name? Or, do you even have one?" She growled, more then asked. She felt so useless, she had never acted like this around anyone.
Perhaps, in her old family. But, they were merely animals. She was something more. What was she, really? She didn't know, but that wasn't the point; now was it?
OOC: Rambles to much...

"My name, its Kaen, nothing more...nothing less, I wish to give you a proper introduction, but that is near impossible," he answered, turning his view back upon the sky. He was glad to have someone to talk to at the moment, its been solitude lately. He had been afraid of going near others, it had become so easy to kill someone without even a thought or pity. He felt different though, this place he was at made him feel like part of his curse was gone.
He got up, patted off his clothing and turned to the opposite direction.
"Why don't we greet our guests?"

Rema turned to the man as he stated his name. Kaen, what an interesting name. She might as well state her name, as well. "My name is Rema," she responded bluntly, before looking as two awkwardly dressed men were walking up to them. "Gladly," she replied to Kaen, before getting up snarling at the approaching figures. They both pulled out blades, glaring at the two in front of them. "Give us your goods, your riches; and we won't make the effort to kill you." They demanded, beginning to circle them as if they were rabid animals.
Rema couldn't help but laugh at this, her yellow eyes flashing with amusement. "You take the one on the right, I call dibs on the left." She told Kaen, before lunging at one of the men, while the other charged at Kaen. Rema easily dodged the swinging blade, knocking the human down and biting into his stomach, rather then his throat. She didn't feel like instantly killing the man. Instead, she'd listen to him suffer. She listened to his screams, before sitting down by the bloody body, looking as Kaen would finish off his burden.
OOC: Sorry if you wanted this to last longer, but meh...

"Hey lets talk about this, I don-" Kaen tried to work something out with the man, but unfortunately he had already entered his attack range. Within perhaps a fraction of a second, he drew his sword with his right hand and the head of the bandit fell cleanly down on the floor, looking as if he was intact. The sword still remained as bright and clean as if it was just polished. This happened every single time, no matter how much he wanted to resist.
Kneeling down, he picked up the head and examined, a clean cut and instant kill. "Fragile," he frowned tossing the head over his shoulder. Turning he examined the work of his new acquaintance. It was apparent she wanted to play with the guy before throwing him out like the trash and garbage he was. By the looks of the sloppiness, she probably hadn't perfected her way of fighting. In an instant he sheathed his sword back without a sound. She was fast but not as fast as him, but he had hopes for this creature.

Rema watched the short lived battle with curiosity. She wasn't going to lie, Kaen was good! No, awesome was a more reasonable term to explain it. Never had she seen such fighting, with a human weapon; none the less. The man beside her piped up, it was incoherent, and annoying. She slammed her fore paw against his chest, shattering his chest bones with the brute force. She frowned, watching as the man finally died. From both pain, and loss of blood. "They are fragile, aren't they?" She murmured, looking at the pool of blood next to the limp body.
"Your fighting impresses me, you have much experience. No?" She asked curiously, looking at Kaen intently. Never had she shown such interest in a human. No, he wasn't human. He had proved that just now. Perhaps he was different, like her. Only, she had a feeling he was more foreign. He had spoke of not seeing amazing nights like these. Perhaps he was from the dark world? It was a possibility. She was going to say something, before a sharp growl escaped her stomach.
"What do humans eat?" She asked randomly, swatting the body in front of her with her paw. She probably would have eaten the man, had not Kaen been there. Eating humans didn't bring much comfort anyways, they tasted awful. However, her hunting always brought her no food. So she'd starve if not for humans. "Perhaps we should find food," she murmured to herself.

"Food," Kaen muttered, moving that single word around in his mouth. Nothing, can satisfy his hunger or thirst. Still that doesn't mean he didn't enjoy the taste of food. Than again, what did humans eat nowadays, still animal meat, but what else.
"I really don't know, I haven't ate in a few centuries or years at the very least." Kaen said while giving his muscles a little stretch. Truthfully he can eat anything or everything, nothing was inedible to him nor did it ever satisfy him.
"My experience is probably only a few millenniums. I did start to restrain myself lately." "I don't mind, what do you feel up to?" Kaen asked, surveying the area. This was indeed not his world, there was a strange sensation within himself. Was it hope?

Rema blinked, listening to his claims about food or hunger. "That long?" She asked bluntly, giving him a rather shocked look. How can one go that long without food? Oh well, that wasn't her prime concern. He had asked her a question. "Anything edible," she paused, growling at the corpse beside her. "besides this punk here." With that, she got up, walking up beside Kaen, before walking a ways ahead of him. "I assume, with you being here; we can go into the city and retrieve something half way decent. You merely have to claim I'm your dog," She growled at the mere mention of those mutts. She hated them, and hated being refered as one.
But, if it was to get food. She didn't mind it at the least bit. Perhaps she was to large to be a dog, then again... Hunters nowadays had a rather large assortment of canines. Of which could be tall, so it could possibly work out.

Kaen had to go into a populated area while he had stayed away from civilizations for years now. This plan wreaked of trouble and asked for a massacre. It couldn't be helped however, for there wasn't much to hunt here at least. If they were to head over for food, they needed some money, but than again how did you calculate money now. Bending down, he searched the man for pouches or some sort of currency, only to find a few coins.
"Cheapskates." Kaen said, after checking the other dead man. It didn't look like a lot, but he could be wrong. He didn't know the amount of money needed to purchase anything here.
"Alright, but I get to refer to you as my hunting partner."

Rema stopped and waited for Kaen, noticing he was snatching money from the corpses. She waited patiently, before listening to his comment. She was shocked, again. A hunting partner, not dog. Amazing! He wasn't arrogant like them, referring to anything they viewed as lesser as dogs. A hunting partner seemed like a good title to her, so she'd roll with it. "Works for me," she said, before leading Kaen into the city.
It reeked of people, and other disastrous smells. She sneezed at the scent of it all, before letting Kaen to catch up and walking further into the godforsaken place. "I'll let you take over from here," she whispered, before lifting her paw to cover her snout. If she looked suspicious, fine. She wouldn't mind a fight. But, first thing was first. They, or she, needed food. Why fight on an empty stomach?
OOC: To lazy to make a new thread, seems more sensible to keep it to one.

As Kaen entered the city, he could tell that there was many discomfort from all the people around them. Apparently a giant wolf creature was pretty suspicious, in a city full of normal citizens. Kaen paid no mind as he walked through the stone structures, everything seemed so light and out of his back.
"How about that tavern over there?" Kaen said pointing to a anonymous sort of house.

Rema nodded, looking at the building Kaen pointed to. Great, it was indoors. Meaning the smell would be even worse in the cramped area. She removed her paw from her nose, her muzzle, rather; before walking up to the building. She ran into the door once, before growling at it. She had never known of doors, or their uses. She had never been in a human village, nor city. She merely explored some of their camps. Of which, had no doors. So, how was she supposed to know it wouldn't move on impact? She shook the thought off, before slamming one of her paws into the wooden object.
Thank god for brute strength, it opened it, allowing the two to continue in the building. She received some gasps, as well as some frightened looks. What? Hadn't they ever seen a wolf before? She snarled, before turning to spot Kaen. Once she was sure he had entered, a human, well garbed - apparently the master of this place; spoke to him. "There's no animals allowed in here, two... What the hell is that thing!?" He shrieked at the man, as some of the other humans piped up as well.
She just rolled her eyes, jumping on one of the tables with ease. They were here for food, nothing else. Still, she didn't feel like fighting. She'd most likely leave that to Kaen, who didn't appear to be weakened by hunger as she.
