"First of all she is not an animal, simply my partner, and please don't use such a vulgar tone at us," Kaen replied in a calm and collected fashion. He made no effort to slice this man, even though he was within his range. If that did happen, than mass hysteria would engulf a good portion of the city. His dispute seemed to cause even more raucous in the area however, as people began to throw their food and drinks at him.
"Hey, don't test her patience, we'll leave, once you give some food, to go would work as well. I don't think I like staying in a heavily populated area myself," Kaen said, but just than someone tried throwing a piece of their steak at him, which he easily caught with his left hand.
"Fine, make sure you get out once the food is done." the innkeeper remarked and not too soon later, he handed him a large bag of raw meat.
"Enjoy!" The owner happily said, before leaving.
"Hey Rema, got the food, lets go!" while throwing a few coins at someone who seemed like a waitress in the dump.

Rema merely looked on with amusement, that was until a piece of random food hit her. She snarled, before watching as the Innkeeper handed Kaen the food. "Lets," she responded bluntly, leaping off the table. She listened as some people let out a relieved sighs, resulting in a low annoyed snarl. She quickly walked out of the building, walking into the city clearing. Shockingly enough, no large crowds were located. She sat down, giving Kaen a rather plain expression.
"Raw meat?" She asked quizzically, turning her attentions to the scent emitting from the bag. "Animals eat this, but humans? They act to important to eat such materials..." She mumbled to herself, half way to Kaen. Sure, he was human. However, he sure didn't act like one. She doubted he'd take offense to her comments.

"They were probably mocking me, but here you can have as much as you want," Kaen said placing the meat sack in front of Rema. He took out his sword and began to shine it with a cloth within his pocket. This was basically all he had on him, beside the money he took from those bandits. There really wasn't anything he needed, especially if supplies often ran out fast. Perhaps he should stock up somethings to make traveling with Rema easier, if she let him of course.
"You know, arrogance is something humans need to get rid off, there are constantly a being greater," with that remark, he continued to shine his blade, staring into the cold steel.

Rema only nodded, knocking the bag over so some of the meat was visible. She ate about half of it, before looking at Kaen as he spoke. She finished chewing her food, before replying to his comment. "Indeed, they are too full of themselves. They are weak," she muttered, returning back to her meal. She swiveled her ears as she picked up the sound of footsteps. Sure, it was normal in a city. Only, these ones were coming toward them. She decided to let it slip, finishing what little of the meat she had. It may have been rude, but she doubted Kaen needed to eat. Therefor, she did not offer anything to him.
A man dressed in neat garb - and wore plenty of golden jewelry - approached them. "How much for the dog?" He asked quickly, in an arrogant tone none the less. Rema scowled, glaring at the figure. She refrained from talking, knowing it'd give Kaen more trouble then Rema had already put him through. Kaen obviously didn't answer the man's question fast enough, so he began speaking again. "I'll ask again, how much? I offer you as much money as you want. And I promise to give it a much better collar then the pitiful rope it's wearing,"
Okay, that settled it. She was pissed off. This was what? The second time she was referred to as 'it'. She did have a gender, as any other creature did. She snarled at the arrogant man, who didn't have enough common sense to back away. Also, what about the rope around her neck? She had wore it as long as she could remember. It was her trademark, per say. She wouldn't get rid of it, unless it was actually cut off her neck.
She looked to Kaen, wondering how he'd reason with such a man.

"Listen," Kaen replied, standing up and patting the guy on his left shoulder,"She is not a possession, she is my partner." "Don't you go walking around the world, acting as if everything is yours, for you have nothing." his voice turned dead close to threatening. "If anything, you're the dog here and she should be the one controlling you...no more than a dog, you're a scum and I have no problem taking care of waste within the world." Kaen continued, holding up his sword to man's neck. He wanted to burn fear and terror into the rich bastard for as long as he lived. He hated those who waved their money above others, he have worked with rich people, but they were always noble.
"You can't do this to me! Do you have any idea who you're messing with?" the man said, now sweating profusely and obviously panicking from the way he had talked to him.
"I don't care who you are, but you do understand what I am saying, correct?" Kaen answered his tone growing more threatening by the second.
"Yes, yes, please don't kill me." With those words, Kaen tossed the man aside and held out the man's left hand.
"Fine, but I'll take this hand as a compensation for wasting our time, without another word, the worm ran off into the city's depths, holding his hand that was definitely bleeding now.
"Its much better for them to hold regret for the rest of their lives, than to give them the gift of death." Kaen responded back to his usual tone.
(OOC: Isn't he awesome!?!?! X3)

Damn, this kept getting better each moment she stayed with Kaen. Not only did she honor him for his fighting, she now honored him for his views; his morals. To her, he was the definition of noble. Unlike these rich human bastards, who considered themselves higher then everyone else with no cause. She grimaced, watching the scene further. How amusing, the man was now begging for his life. How... pathetic. Oh well, at least Kaen took his hand as a token. And, if he didn't get help soon enough; he'd surely die of blood loss. That itself seemed worth the whole scenario. Teaching humans their place in the world.
She nodded to his comment, being finished with the meat some time ago. "Indeed. What I don't understand, they run away from death. They fear it. Yet, I care neither if I live or die." She murmured, getting up from the ground. She shook off some dust before walking up to Kaen, who wasn't that far away from her. "I suppose, you need supplies. We should get them, before these rats kick us out."
_________
Artemesia walked about the city, having nothing better to do. She loved some of the views here, they were drop dead gorgeous; minus the rich bastards that ran about the area. She had never been one for money, nor jealousy. She kept the feeling and the greed hidden deep in the darkest depths of her heart. And that is where they would stay, never being able to burden anyone around her. She closed her eyes, sighing, hands in the pockets of her coat. It was at that moment a voice rang in her ears. Well, this place was full of voices - but this one was all too familiar. It belonged to that of a shapeshifter... But who? She wondered, walking up to the area the voice emitted from.
What she saw mildly surprised her. The Feral Shape shifter was here. She recognized the large crimson wolf anywhere - it was Rema. She had met Rema before hand, and had beaten her in the challenge Rema herself had presented. Ever since - to Rema, they were arch enemies. However, she was with a man. No, not a man... Something else. He reeked of death and decay, with little of the human scent lingering on him. Seeing she had nothing better to do, she walked toward them. She stopped some ways from Rema, before speaking.
"Hello, Rema." She said in a calm tone, earning an ear piercing snarl in response. "Get away, you rat!" She heard the beast yell, only giving her a kind look. The same kind look she gave everyone, no matter how much they hated her.

Rubbing his head, Zaen stood looking around the area they were in. He had absolutely no idea how to get around in the city, if anything, they would probably get more lost than they were. Just than a woman seemed to approach the two of them. She didn't seem strange or out of the ordinary, but many times, that had fooled people to their graves. Apparently Rema wasn't please on bit at the woman's arrival, finding her snarl such a vicious response.
"So old fr-arch enemies I presume?" Kaen asked such an obvious answer. "I remember a time I had one, but he soon got his head chopped off before he could attack me, than there was this time when this other guy..." Kaen continued on with his many experiences from his life until now. If no one stopped him, he could go on for many years without going into detail.

"Foes. She disgusts me," she growled, not paying any mind to Kaen's rambling. In a moments notice, Rema was already away from Kaen, charging at Artemesia. "Die, dog!" she snarled, revealing her teeth and holding her claws out - this was war. That damned dog better know it. She may have lost last time, but this time... She had another thing coming. "Have you no respect, Rema?" Artemesia asked, before shifting into her animal form in a moments notice. She easily grabbed Rema by the neck, securely enclosing her jaws around the area - careful enough to to injure the pathetic creature, before throwing her to the ground.
Rema hit the ground with an awkward amount of momentum, slightly yelping as she hit the ground. How in the world could that little runt have so much strength? She was bigger, and better then her! How did she always keep winning? Damn her! She quickly got to her feet, lunging at the pathetic mutt. She would make sure she died, no one could possibly stop her.

Kaen stopped talking, watching the one-sided fight..no slaughter for a breath moment, before quickly and lightly stepped foot into the battle. Right at one of Rema's pounce, Kaen pushed her down onto the ground, careful to be gentle. He give out a sigh, before starting his somewhat short speech.
"Listen Rema, I understant you want to tear off her head and make her suffer, scratch that, I lost that emotion a while ago, that is beside the point, you can't at your current state. It is not that you don't have the strength, you simply don't have the power and that being skill. You have brute strength, however that does not mean you can tear through any creature. For example a dragon, unlike me you're not immortal, after getting burned I doubt you'll be able to fight back as the monster smashes you to the ground with more than five hundred pound of force."
"I understand that perhaps you are unable to train, due to the fact that there aren't much anyone to train with, but I'm sure the two of you can spar and you can develop your own fighting style along the way." Kaen spoke, all within a monotone.

Artemesia looked on with slight interest. Would Rema even listen to this man? Whom of which was immortal? Rema did have an odd knack of interests. Then again, when was the brute ever interested in anybody but herself? She sighed, shifting back into a human; listening to the man's speech. He was logical enough, but was he enough to tame Rema? If he was, why would she even care? No, bad question. She cared because Rema was a senseless murderer, causing havoc wherever she went. Rema had even slaughtered some of her family, yet; she still chose to forgive her. She looked up as she heard the comment of sparing with Rema, before giving a faint nod. She wouldn't mind training Rema, it was just Rema's antics... Nothing good would come of training her.
Rema got up, snarling in the process. Why the hell did he have to intervene? She shook her fur, getting some of the dirt off of her. She glared at Kaen as she listened to his speech. What was wrong with brute strength? And hey, how the hell did dragons work themselves into this conversation, none the less the situation? She gave a quick grunt, sitting down and listened as he continued. Spar, with the mutt? How could he even bring up such a thing? "Train with her? I'll never train with a dog such as herself." She snapped, turning her gaze to Artemesia before turning toward Kaen. "And why couldn't you train me? You know better fighting then her..."
Artemesia sighed, deciding to step into the conversation. "Because, Rema. My abilities of fighting are closer to yours, where as he has no animal form to fight or train you with." She replied calmly, even if she wasn't answering a question directed toward her. "Shut up!" Rema shrieked, snarling as Artemesia approached them. She looked to the man, before murmuring her apologies. "Sorry I've caused you two trouble, I can leave if it is preferred." Rema quickly nodded, "Yes, leave. Don't come back."

Kaen sighed, why did simple things have to be so complicated. Rema needed to see the truth behind what he was, but why did it feel uncomfortable going about what he was about to do.
"No bear with this for a few more moments," he answered Artmesia.
"I see you much more than a brute, I see you as a being that is capable to go to amazing heights, not everyone is born with your power. I wish I could train you, but simply put, I have ended up killing anything I tried to train, it is far too easy for me to things such as..." Kaen said, taking out his sword and literally cutting off his head. Took a few minutes to get it back, but he continued.
"Like that." his voice was hearse, his head took longer to reattach than he thought.
"But if you spar with her." now leaning close to Rema. "You'll get more chances to tear her head off in sparring, while still improving your skills."

Artemesia nodded, listening as the man spoke to Rema before cutting his own head off. She raised an eyebrow at this, it was awkward, but it didn't freak her out by any means at all. Rema, on the other hand; gasped in sheer shock. Her yellow eyes were open in alarm, even as he attached his head to his body. "W-wha-what the...?" She muttered, backing away as Kaen leaned closer to her. Artemesia personally found this amusing, Rema; the ever fearless Feral, was scared. She was never scared of anything, or so she lead people to believe. She crossed her arms, over hearing the next part of his speech. She was tempted to say something, but kept quiet. It was for the best.
Rema shook her head. "No, I won't train with her. I will learn on my own, I will kill her that way. I care not if I die in the process, she is both female; and a mutt. Anything she can teach is not worth learning," she rambled, causing Artemesia to scowl. She was too stubborn for her own good. She had keys to becoming even more powerful then she was - and she turned it down. Not that Artemesia could blame her, she had learned on her own. Yet, she had sparred with others many times. Observing their reactions, their moves - every way to improve her own methods. "Either way, Rema. I would be glad to teach you what I know," with that, she fell silent again.

"Rema, working with her is the best chance at the moment, since you're stubborn, looks like I have to figure out other means to make this work," Kaen responded, while cracking his knuckles. When a very unsound crack came out of his hands, he realized that he had accidentally broken some of his finger bones.
"Do you want to be dragged into training or should I resort to ones, neither of us will be pleased, than once again I don't exactly know how I'll be unpleased or pleased by anything," Kaen continued, popping his bones back in place and taking out another cig.

Artmesia merely nodded, as Rema began growling again. She wasn't going to lie, Rema was starting to piss her off. She sighed, walking up to Rema. The wolf snapped, and she easily dodged it. She knelt next beside Rema, causing Rema to jump up. Taking that challenging stance she always had. She set her hand on Rema's shoulder, as the wolf didn't know how to take it. "C'mon, Rema. Look at it this way, if you do manage to kill me; I can be mocked for being defeated with my own fighting techniques. Isn't that what you want? Me to go down with humility?" Rema turned her head, contemplating whether to snap at the mutt's hand or not. "Your ways of fighting disgust me," With that Artemesia sighed, standing up and walking up to Kaen.
"Whatever you have in mind, I suggest you do it now. She won't listen if you don't," she said calmly, turning to face Rema. "How do you always manage to be calm?" Rema spat, glaring up at the woman standing next to Kaen. "Because, there is no need to lash out on those around me." She replied bluntly, looking to Kaen and Rema asked another question. "And how do you put up with that mutt?"

"I can put up with anything if I feel like it," Kaen replied to Rema. Placing a good grip over the collar bone of the creature, he lifted Rema ease.
"If you wish to act stubborn like a homesick pup, I don't mind treating you as one." Kaen said, now starting to walk in the direction they had entered. Walking in long strides, yet still casually holding onto Rema.
"Sometimes it is best to throw away your pride, while you still have a choice. I respect the art of combat more than your foolish pride and like I said before, you simply have to create your own fighting style, doesn't have to be like hers."
