312 years ago. Before Allen Quill was known as the boogey man, 12 years before his attack on Arvila. Before he was shot with three arrows and three spears, sending him down a well where he slept for a very long time, Allen came into possession of a blade, the one he always kept to his back, he never knew what it was for, nor what it was. He was ignorant.
He wandered The Island of Seul, if there was any place he could hide from hunters, it was Seul. But hiding in the castle wouldn't be smart, that would be where hunters would go to look for him. Out in the cold and rain, no one would ever look there. No one would even expect him to survive there, even a Vampire had it's limits. But he wasn't just a Vampire.
The Scourge of the Vampires wandered through the storm that had it, it was hard to see infront of him, but he managed. Ahead of him he saw a assorted pile of rocks, as he continued walking he saw junk, pieces of a boat, lying on the shore. As he continued they became more abundunt, he found small cases filled with papers in a different language, and splinters of wood. But at the edge of a large cliff, he saw something that caught his eyes.
There had once been a boat, a huge boat. With blue trim, it was made for battle, but also for carrying possesions, the people aboard weren't especialy important, but the cargo was of extreme value. Riches and items all from the other side of the gate. Among the items was a sword, it was said to be one of the ancient hero's weapons. The ship's name was 'Protecter'. But as they thought they where appraoching the mainland, they crashed into giant rocks that outlined an Island, the storms around it where so great that they didn't see it comeing. Now that they had crashed, all was lost. No survivors. But the cargo remained. But something horded it all, into a cave into the side of the cliff, the jewls, and artifacts shown so brightly when placed together and set near a fire that even in the darkest storm, they could be seen.
Of course, Allen only knew the last part. As he looked down an ominous glow came from inside a cave in the side of the cliff. He grinned. If there was a glow, that meant fire, but he hadn't seen something he had expected to see, where was all the valubles that should have been on the boat that must have crashed? They must all have been taken to the cave. Now he had found two things: Shelter, and money.
He walked off the side of the cliff as if it was nothing, as he fell he bit into his left hand. The blood came out in what looked like ropes. They swung around and clung to the rock wall, as he fell Allen twisted his hand and the blood swung him like a rope into the cave. He landed in a knelt possition. His red cloack covering him. As he stood up, he began to heal his hand with his uniqe ability.
He looked up, and he was startled to see all the many strange artifacts and jewls, but what startled him so much that he almost fell off the cave entrance, was a Dragon sitting infront of him. His grin that he'd been wearing fell from his face. It seemed to be heating it's side with flame from it's nostrills. He sighed. He hadn't been carefull. He hadn't noticed the large opening, much too large to be natural, he hadn't noticed the nose behind the fire light. But what he was noticing was the sword that stuck in the ground not too far from the dragon.
He quickly regained his confidance, he had never seen a dragon before, but he wasn't scared, he was excited. He wanted that sword, and he wanted this place to sleep, he wouldn't mind the jewls and gold, but he could do without it. He walked foward, his two bayonette like blades at his side, clincking against his thigh, and his large blade on his back, firmly tied. He spoke loudly, getting the dragon's attention.
"Oi! Dragon! Im tired, can I rest here? Oh, my, thats quite a nice sword there."
He said, gesturing with his hand, he doubted the Dragon understood him, then agian he didn't know if Dragons could or couldn't. He didn't care about that much though. His hope was to sleep here then in the morning steal the sword and high tail it out. But chances where it wasn't going to work so well.

Lien has been around the island for weeks now. She had never been too fond, or even interested in this secluded island the first hundred years, but as she noticed the scarcity of hominids around it, it began to attract her more and more. She constantly scouted the island perimeter now, checking her new territory, as she self proclaimed it. There was a stormy night, not too long ago, maybe days or weeks ago, a dragon could not tell time apart from mere days since they could lived for milennias, when a small fleet of boats traveled straight for the island. Her keen sight under the night sky was to her total advantage, but she needn't take any action on them as they crashed themselves to the edge's of her island. It was either the storm that blinded them or they where asking for death and death answered them. The mighty dark ruby dragon wasted no time as she soared and circled the ship graveyard and quickly descended on the great wreck of the biggest float. She nosed around torn wood and many peculiar things. There where a few bodies scattered around, but she left them to the sea.
What caught her burgundy eye's interest was the brilliant shine of the huge pile of metal the vessel was carrying: from gold to silver to crowns to trinkets and other things.
It took her a couple of days to move all of it, not leaving a single coin spared, into a cave she had found a wile ago on one of her scoutings. The day after another storm hit the place again, causing Lien to stick to her warm, comfortable dwelling. The red dragoness ate coins to keep her scales healthy, wile she saved most of it just for the pleasure. There was an odd little artifact that attracted her the most, in the shape of a humanoid blade. It called out to her somehow and Lien couldn't resist but keep that one the closest. As she peacefully swallowed another mouthful of coins, she suddenly heard steps coming from outside the cave. Her ears where so great she heard the invader come from far away. She hoped he would simply keep moving, but he stopped, right in front of the entrance before climbing up.
Lien got up from the far corner and slowly crept to the entrance of her own cave, her long, horned skull kept low with the brilliant ground. By the time the man came and stood right over the cave's mouth, Lien was on her haunches, nostrils flaring smoky signals and a her lips pulled apart to show some of her long row of sharp fangs. She suddenly felt extremely territorial. As the human dared to walk toward her, her burning glare narrowed on the diminutive humanoid who smelled not human at all, but something else she couldn't identify yet.
He spoke, mockingly by her standards. What kind of fool disturbs a dragon to sleep in his dwelling with the dragon still inside? As soon as she noticed which item he had meant and was pointing too, one of her fore claws was lifted and stomped abruptly right of the sword, blocking it from any more viewing with her scaled leg. The movement was swift, loud and powerful. At the same time, her serpentine neck had craned down, just above the man's eye level, with a deep, snarl between clenched jaws and blazing dark eyes. " You think me stupid man? Humanoids are such fools! You come into a dragon's lair with the dragon still inside and an obvious intent of stealing?"Her voice boomed inside the cave which magnified it and bounced off each wall creating loud echoes to every direction. All the wile her neck curved back up, letting the dim light left to show a bit of her dark ruby scales and many spikes showering her back and neck, her wings fastened against her side but twitching to be left free.

The dark ruby dragon moved it's leg so he could no longer see the sword. The dragon moved it's head so they where eye level, then began to speak, loudly. Allen's ears where rather sensitive, he winced at the sound. Suddenly he felt such a strong feeling of awe for this brilliant beast. She was amazing. But he had no time to stop and look, he had to speak, he had a feeling this dragon didn't like 'humanoids'. He spoke in reply, it was so close he didn't need to speak loudly, instead he spoke in his normal voice, the cave was echo-filled as it was.
"Steal? Why the very idea! I have no inteniton of stealing, I'll either have it, or take it."
He said with mock surprise, his crimson eyes staring back into the dragon's. He had a feeling this would be getting violent soon. He made a little plan. The dragon had rows of horns along it's back, that could prove to be it's downfall. They where in an enclosed area, which would be usefull to him, if the dragon took the fight outside he might have probloms. He continued to speak.
"And furthermore, I prefer Vampire, or Allen if you dont mind. Not Humanoid. You dont see me calling you 'dumb beast' do you?"
He kept a level gaze with the Dragon. Was he realy still concidered a vampire? With this new injection he had given himself, most people considered him a monster. Before he was just a strong Vampire. After the things he'd done, he was a monster.
So be it.
He thought to himself.
If they want a monster, I'll give them one.
He stood stock still, waiting for the dragon's reply.

Lien arched a brow at the small man on the floor, listening with interest to his words. Sure, he talked much, but could he back up those words? It was most unbelievable to the dragon although she did not let it show in her face, shielding her thoughts from him. His next words though caused the dragon to...chuckle. "Vampire? It makes no difference me what breed you are. You are still a humanoid. You have their same limbs, fragile skin, and the silly patch of hair on their skulls. What's so different? Hah! As if calling you anything else would change your species." Her subsiding chuckles had echoed a little in the cave also. her skull was high above the...vampire now. She peered down at him with and rose to all her four legs, giant in comparison to the man's size. "Now leave, little vampire. With or without the intentions of stealing, there is nothing here for you to take!" Her wings snapped open and shut suddenly toward him, creating a strong gust of wind from inside the cave adding more effect to her command just as much as the hissing growl that followed.
Silly people. They think that names could mean anything to the great beast. Even so, only the stupid purposely insult a dragon and without anything to gain in return by what it seemed. What did this small creature want?

He looked up at the beast as it spoke. Anger flared in his crimson eyes. He would back down to no creature that insulted him like this. Then the dragon stood high and gave a mighty flap of it's wings, sending a gust of air back. Allen stood his place, crossing his hands in an "X" to block any small coins or debree that might hit him. When the dragon stopped he looked up at it, anger still in his eyes, now he spoke with a snarl. With his right hand he drew his blade and pressed his left hand against it, cutting his palm as blood dripped from it he spoke
"It matters not what you see on me, the blood of a monster runs through these veins, not a fragile creature! And through your veins must run that of a foolish animal!"
He said, waving his left arm, blood spattered onto the dragon's snout, which was so close to him, in a sort of insult.
"That sword will belong to me as of now, I wont steal, but I will take."
His crimson eyes glowed for a moment, then he walked foward, toward the dragon, still holding the blade, blood dripped from his hand, leaving a small trail. The pieces where set, if it was a fight that the dragon wanted, Allen had just made the first move. His large sword would probobly not do him much good here, it was made for overpowering with speed and strength, that wouldn't work against a dragon, so he'd be stuck using his two smaller blades. Then again, he had no idea how strong a dragon's scales where, his blade might not even be able to penetrate it.
If that was the case, he was in a small bit of trouble, but that still left the dragon's eyes open. If he blinded it he could grab the sword and run like hell. But he'd have to be fast to do that. Of course that was all assuming he couldn't penetrate the scales.

ooc:....her head was practically close to the ceiling..but nvm..
Lien shook her snouth clean and snorted at the yelling vampire. He who contradicts himself would probably have no greater mind than to resolve things with violence alone, as all brutes always do. Even in her own kind, so many would rather settle things with a show of brute strenght rather than see the logic in their ways and in the situatoin and actually be smart about it. Why do they fear being smart?
Lien stared indiferently at the man, tiny in comparison with her size, as he walked forward, her wing muscles flexing under the heavily armored skin as well as her claws. After having eaten a fresh mouth full of solid metal, Lien's scales could not be healthier and stronger than ever. This creature picked a fine day to get agresive with this dragon. "Words do not affect me silly man. It is you, those who..resemble, humans that are so easly weakend by your own emotions, even though sadlty some of my own kind fall to the same curse." The vapm was now moving too close for her own comfort and even though the cave as incredibly giant, it would still limit some of her movements inside it. It scarely fit the full span of her wings.
As he aproached, Lien growled, a ripling sound that emerged from deep in the through and vibrated in each scale, just before she stomped her forclaw infront of the sword once more and her tail at the same time hard on the ground, the cave trembling with the force as if it too felt her growl, pebles flying in the air. "You will advance no further!" she said, her last words drowning in the lava-like flames that had builded up in her jaws before she bleched the fire agaisn't the ground with Allen as the target. The flames where shot in a clear line dividing the path between Alen, the dragon, and the rest of the treasure farther behind, as it also spread amazingly quickly and tried to engulf the vampire and the entire cave entrance wile it was at it.

((Owch... my pride. Sorry, should I assume the blood still got on her snout? PM me, if you'd like me to change that. ))
A stream of fire seemed to cut him off from continuing. He glared up at the roaring dragon. Moments ago it had nearly shook the cave to it's foundation with it's growls and roars. This fire that blocked him, and soon would engulf him, was going to be a problom. As he glared up at the dragon, his crimson eyes shown brightly.
"Shut up."
He said, under his breath. The blood that he had spattered onto the Dragon's snout began to move at his will, it sprang to life, curiling across her jaw, the iron inside was intesified by the curse, developing the blood into cords attempting to shut it's mouth to stop any more fire.
As this was happening, he retreated a little to avoid the heat, the blood that had dropped from his hand and landed in a trail on the floor began to slither after him, coming together next to him. He was creating a blood clone. He squeezed his left hand letting more blood drop onto the floor. It began to form a large puddle of blood. He stopped. He had released just enough, instantly he began to recreate bloodcells inside of him, he'd need someone, or something, to be a deversion, his blood clone could do that, as he healed himself.
In hardly any time at all he had a red version of himself standing next to him, they looked at eachother, he smiled warmly at his reflected self then looked at the fire. Then the clone ran foward, attempting to jump and clear as much of the fire as he could, then continue running to the dragon. As that was happening Allen was moving with as much speed as he could to try and go around. The clone didn't feel pain, nor could he tire, but a good stomp or a good chomp would take care of him easier that it would Allen. Then again, he was only a deversion, though he took a bit of blood, Allen wouldn't lookfoward to making a second.
He had a feeling things would get bad, a Dragon wasn't an Ideal opponent, but this cave was much to his help, it restricted her movements a bit, but it was plenty big enough for him. He'd lost ground with his retreat, the Dragon could be proud of herself for that bit, now he had to make up for it, while dealing with the flames. If worst came to worst he'd blow both himself, and the dragon, to bits with a crimson bang.

Ooc: Naw, just leave it as it is
Ic: Lien felt something, at first slimy, writher around her snout in the middle of her jaws spreading the fire and suddenly the thing had begun to harden agaisn't the scales and slither more around the jaws, closing themselves in and shutting her jaws from any more fire, more out of the surprise of whatever contraption had locked her jaws shut. Lien blinked at first and growled/screeched second as she felt the sudden pain of her fire whithin her own mouth before it had gone out. This she had never seen before and it had her perplex, but not before the man's mass moving down below caught her eyes atention once more.
This had dsitracted her, but then she simply snarled within herself and snapped the ring of blood open like snapping twigs in her claws with a massive roar exploding from her throat. She later saw the ring turn back into blood droplets and her dragon braind realized quickly it had been the vamp's blood. And now he would be smothered in his own blood, she repeated to herself as she reared up on Allen, who had skipped over the flames just barely and was running toward her, and striked with her mouth, almost lightning speed fast, as she closed her fangs around the body, tail thrashing a bit wildly behind her and her wings suddenly bursting open once more.
But what she tasted was blood alone, not flesh and bones and the rest. She blinked yet again, more annoyed now by another of this ridiculous tricks. Thinking about the pass one, she shook her mussle vigorously, clean off any more blood, and lifted her cranium to the ceiling again, hissing angrily with fangs bared. " Why do you use such cowardly tricks? " She said bobbing her head around and turning on herself to head quickly for the treasure piles. " Do you think I could be vanquished so easily? " She said again with more mock thrown into it as her eyes skidded to a stop upon the shadow of another form moving quickly around the other side of the cave walls, the fire still in the entrance having given Allen a wide shadow that stretched over the walls that she could follow.

His blood flew from the dragon onto his face. He stared upward at her and glared. It chomped down on his clone, he felt a small hint of satisfaction, it roared in anger at him, it hadn't noticed that it was in a bit of a situation, when it bit the clone, the blood it's fangs bit instantly started to move, entering her mouth quickly, and then to her throat, moving like normal blood would. The blood that was on his face curdled and fell from his face, leaving no mark, and started to form something on the floor. He looked over at the roaring dragon, it was angry. He spoke in a shout at it, it sent more of his blood down, but it had bitten into the clone, his blood was inside of it's mouth. His crimson eyes began shine as he spoke, the blood slithered down the dragon's throat, stopping in the middle of it and clinging to the wall of the throat.
"You just took a bite out of my Blood Clone, my blood is in your throat, if you move any part of your body, I'll make the blood inside of you turn to a ring of spikes, either a spike will hit your brain, or you will drown in your own blood. Silence, Dragon, I take the sword now."
He began to form another object, the blood that he had put onto the ground began to mix with another few spats of blood that he threw down onto it. It began to form a diamond shaped object.
"If you try to burn away the blood inside you with your breath, this spike will be down your throat before you can try it, either that, or burn the inside of your mouth."
He began to walk foward, he walked confidently, though he felt anything but, the Dragon was right, it was a cowardly trick, but she was a fool to fall for it. Still, he felt little satisfaction in this, but when dealing with such a dangerous beast, it was better he play it safe like this.
((Everything from this on out is assuming Lien didn't escape somehow))
Allen walked foward, keeping his eyes set on the dragon, moving toward the sword, he stopped infront of the sword and put a hand on it, pulling it up from the ground, it had a blue sheen to it, and for a moment it looked different than he thought it did, some sort of aura, even a change in the shape. But of course, that was probobly just a trick of the light.

She was caught in quite the predicament. How the vampire manage to pulled it off was beyond her, but it was no time to start panicking. No. It was far from that. Lien never loosed her cool even in times such as this. Even despite the the insect thought he could boss her around. Her lips parted to show her rows of teeth once more. Only a fool would turn it's back on his enemy and then act confident about it. She would have liked to repeat her last words, but it would be of no use through his thick skull, or overly confident self, she didn't know which one to loath more.
As Allen walked toward the sword, slowly reaching for it, Lien had all the time in the world for this. She spat out some of the blood that was stuck to her throut and with incredible agility launged herself and clinged to the sidewall of the cave with her sharp claws and with even more force, not a second after, she thrusted herself again and to the ceiling, using force alone to puncture her claws deep into the earth of the roof, her softer underbelly having been protected since the moment she clinged to the side wall. Now there was the layers of flaming, red scales protecting her more vulnerable throut from his diamong shaped spike. It would take a strong force to penetrate those newly emerged scales, thick and strong from the metal she's been eating.
By now the vamp must have heard and turned around with her treasure in hand, but Lien, clinging upside down to the roof looking more like a lizard waving it's tail around, had already swung her skull down and roared her lava flames on the intruder, the fire falling down like a waterfall, and atempting at the same time to incinerate the blood in her throat anyways before Allen could react in time to do his magic.
(This is asuming he would try to escape now that he has the sword?)

The sword was in hand, he almost smiled, but his moment was ruined, the dragon was moving, he didn't need to see her, he could feel her, he felt his blood in her throat as if it was part of him, being spat out. He turned around quickly, but not quick enough, the dragon was much to fast, it was amazing, breath taking, for a moment he watches as it leaped onto the wall.
Allen had to think fast, she hadn't spat all the blood out, he could have tried to spike her throat, but he had no time to form and harden, the flames that he knew where coming would incinerate them before they did an ounce of work. He brought all the blood that was in her throat out, it formed a small circle, he shot the Kurai that he had ready for her against the circle, instead of at her. It landed with a splat, adding to the circle. Now he had his round sheild, bigger than normal, because he had more to defend against.
The fire slammed into the circle, it blocked the flames only seconds before they got to him. Even with the sheild he felt the heat of the fire. He winced, but didn't waste time, he continued to run, trying to get to the exit, the circle following him.
He knew the sheild wouldn't last, the dragon's flames where incredible, they would melt it away sooner or later, and he wouldn't be able to make it out of here on pure defence. It was on the celeing, he couldn't hit it's throat, nor it's underbelly, and those scales where probobly strong. The exit wasn't far, but it was still a good run away, he was going to have to busy that dragon.
The sheild was thinning, he twisted it's shape as quick as he could, it turned into one huge cone shaped spike. With a powerfull wave of his arm the spike flew foward, hardened alread. It flew through the flames, heading towards the dragon's mouth. The flames where hot, but his blood was stronger than steel, the flames deffinetly could destory it sooner or later, this wasn't even realy an attempt to kill the dragon, only to buy him time.
But he didn't get away without a price. When he shot the spike flames lapped foward, kissing the hand that didn't hold his newly acuired sword. He roared for a moment, the searing pain coming a few moments after the burn. He was almost to the exit. A pile of coins blocked his path, he leaped over them, his hand already healing, his ability instantly kicking in. It wasn't serious, but it could leave a terrible scar, thats what the power was for. His hand began to glow very faintly, and the fresh burn began to retract.
He was almost to the exit, once he got to the edge he jumped. Bad idea. He noticed now that he couldn't use any blood because he was busy healing his hand. He closed his eyes and sighed, it was a ways to the bottom. He turned in mid air, so that his feet was facing the oncoming water, his sword held tightly in his grip, he was prepared for the terrible smash against the water.
When he hit it he yelled out on a reflex, but no pain came to him, he thought for a moment that he could see his new sword glowing, but it vanished in an instant.
His head broke the surface, no time to sit back and think, if that dragon decided to be throuough, it might fly out and try to check the waters for any sign of him. It was a terrible storm tonight, but the dragon may still be able to find him, he began to swim, quicker than he had ever swam before, as if the very ocean was at his back.
((A lot of that is assuming that the dragon didn't catch him on the way out, in your reply if you have anything that would change that outcome, we'll pretened whatever happened after the change didn't happen. Kay? ^-^ ))

Her eyes had narrowed with some satisfaction at the sight of the vampire being swallowed by her flames, but something was odd. The flames spread apart at the exact spot, as if being reflected into diferent directions soon than it would have hit the ground. When her breath was spent out, she took a moment to let the fires and smoke clear out as much as possible, or enough for her to see through it. The figure of Allen had disapeared. It was impossible, for her fire would only incinerate or atleast mealt him, but there was no trace of him. Lien hoped down to the floor and turned around, looking for what had becomed of him, flames still licking at her claws which made her move about quickly to avoid burning them.
Out of the corner of her eyes, she spoted him, jumping over the cave's cliff end. Lien had only a moment to growl silently to herself and thrust herself forward between a dragon dash and a trot. Running was not easy for dragons, which was why they had their marvelous wings. She stopped at the cave's mouth, foreclaws grasping the end of the platform, and burgundy eyes wildly searching for Allen. She could only see raging waters beating up agaisn't the ridge's side and the storm that made it all worse. Lien roared in her frustratino and leaped into the air, flapping her wings vigorously agaisn't the strong wind and rain. If she did not finish of her enemies, they would come back.
The mighty red dragon was now pitch black agaisn't the dark sky of the storm, all her scales shrouded in darkness. She roared again as she did a second circuit around the cave's outcropings outside. She couldn't see hell over all these fury of the sky and water and earth. Instead, she thought ahead and changed her flight course to the shores, the nearest lands to the cave, in a flurry of beating wings, but before that....
" I will remember your name, Allen and make you regret the day you stole from me. Chasing you down will be my new hobby! Fret this new enemy you've gained and let the hunt begin!." The thunder drowned out the rest of her noise.

As he swam he heard the roar of the dragon over all the sound, he looked up and only barley caught sight of it's outline as the lightning flashed. He laughed loudly, it wasn't a natural laugh, it came from deep withen him, mixing with the thunder and the roar of the waves of the ocean, passing around the wind. He continued to swim, shouting as loud as he could his responce, he doubted the Dragon could hear him, but he didn't know if Dragons had sharp hearing or not.
"I accept the challenge, Dragon! The hunt has indeed just began, but you had best hope you dont find me, my power will have increased even more, perhaps then we shall be a match in battle!"
He yelled, grinning. He felt a bit sad. He felt as though he had lost, though he got the sword, he had needed to flee from the dragon, that made it a bit of a bitter sweet win. He had wanted to get the sword, and leave the Dragon unable to move, that would have been good, but he didn't think he wanted to kill it, at least not yet, the Dragon was so magnificient, he would rather it hunt him, that would make things much more interesting.
He continued to swim through the storm, soon he pulled himself up onto the shore, dragging himself up, he was breathing heavily on the sand, but he thought he would be much more exahusted than this. He began to laugh on the sand, using his new sword to push himself to his feet. He looked at the skys, trying to spot the Dragon, incase it was still there. This was the begining of a very interesting friendship.
