Fidel Piri had quickly decided was a boring place, almost as dull as Ur. At least in Ur you had the variation between ice and dirt, here it was just rock. Grey rock stretching as far as the eye could see. By Piri's calculations, she hadn't even been there two days and she was already bored stiff. The spirit had immense reserves of patience to draw on in most situations such as this but now it seemed as if it was failing her. It was frustrating. After all, there was only so long even she could spend looking at miles of rock all of the same colour and texture. It wasn't as if the buildings were exciting either. They were carved out of the rock face, which in itself was fairly impressive, but they were all utilitarian and square in shape. No imagination in the design at all. A couple of hours of her time had been spent imagining how they had carved such buildings but no longer. It was merely a fleeting interest and with many things did not last long.
Although it felt to Piri as if she had only spent a short time in this forsaken town, it could have been far longer or shorter than she guessed. She barely registered the rising and setting of the sun anymore. It was irrelevant to her. Meaningless. The passage of time held no meaning for her. She didn't require anything which would remind a normal person of the changing day - no need for food, no need to sleep, nothing. The only interest which peppered her existence now was her brief encounters with others. Eight hundred years of such an existence meant that it was rather repetitive now though. She had formed positive relationship with very few people in her immense amount of time. Piri had not been the best person at talking even when she was alive. One thing had become incredibly apparent to her over the years though which meant she rarely even bothered now unless she could get something in return. Everyone died.

Hmm what to do, what to do. It had been fun for a while to simply run round the entire mountian range looking for all those tiny and hidden nooks and cranies but now that it was over and done with, Kazui was wondering what else he could do to pass time the time away. His tail whipped around slowly and his ears twitched as he regailed his mind to come up with something better for him to do. He was bored dammit. Maybe he could find a gryphon and...and then what precisely would he do? Hs eyes raked along the uneven grey surface of the mountain, looking for anything remotely interesting. Nothing but rocks and more rocks for miles around. Even the animals there were scarce and whatever people around were to gloomy for his tastes then again, he had avioded the people on this mountain as much as he could, appearing as a stray wolf most times.
His shoulder of lited in a shrug as a sigh of defeat escaped his lips. Ah well, he thought, not much I can do in this situation then. He reaches behind into his bag and pulls out a flute, milky white in color with swirls of black and red than mingle together till there was no telling where one bega and the other ended. He put the flute to his mouth and began to blow into it, a gentle but upbeat melody ensuing. His eyes closed as he continued to walk and play, skipping and jumping once in a while to the melody of the flute. Rarely did he ever play his flute and when he did, he was absored into the sound it made. It was the reason why he never played it, his attention waned and it became difficult to process what was going on around him. But he figured he'd be fine here unless a Gryphon decided to attack.

Piri's eyes darted across the broad expanse of the twon which lay below her. A smirk stretched across her face as she spotted a rather unusual occurrence. Piri had seen many strange events in her time but this was a first. It didn't shock her - that was one emotion she hadn't felt in centuries. She was intrigued certainly though. There was, after all, nothing like a good mystery. Piri had solved so many now that if there was a single thing she left unsolved she felt a very unsatisfied. There was so much time to reflect on her mistakes and problems that it dwelt on her mind for a long while. No one played peaceful music anymore in her opinion. The war had lasted too long.
She drifted over to him, hovering directly in front of him. "Now isn't that a quaint little tune," she commented sarcastically, although her voice was slightly softer than normal. The music reminded her of a very faint memory from when she was actually alive. It stirred something at the very back of her mind. Nothing significant but it was a memory none the less and she had so very few of them remaining now. That did soften her tongue a fraction but no more. Her mind was always full of the distant violence and hardly anything could sway her mind from that problem.

Kazui didn't notice anything around him just as he had predicted and that included the spirit that was also lurking about on the barren and almost forsaken land. When she drifted in front of him, his first thought had been a griphon was actually going to attack him. It wouldn't have been the first time he randomly thought that something would happen to him and no matter how stupid that thought would be, it would actually come to pass. Same went for now but he quickly realized that it wasn't a Gryphon at all but a girl in her late teens who was hovering in front of him. Nothing special there, Kazui thought. He had to have seen something that was weirder than what was happening now. He thought about it but nothing came up so he decided he just couldn't think up of one at the moment. ALl the time he had never stopped playing his flute.
The tune continued even after he was spoken to. Since he was in no immediate danger, he could still go on playing. If he was going to be attaked, the girl would have done so by now anyways. Instead, he gave a little smile. He continued his playing, the melody alternating between high notes that could make the listener high on joy and low sad notes that could bring tears to a persons eyes. It eventually finsihed with a gentle tone and Kazui spun the flute in his hands and bowed to the lady. "Quaint it is. In my opinion, all song goten from home for home are quiaint. Ain't it a sight to see a teenage girl on this side of Rodylia. There isn't much to see here is there?" Her sarcastic tone just went over his head and it was obvious in the way he spoke.
