Peace and quiet. At last, finally some time to relax. Between the trees of the Vänar Woods, the soft wind hit the face of a lonely man. Using his spear as a walking stick, Darius slowly moves alongside a trail left by some animal. The vegetation was quite dense by moment making his walking pace quite erratic. The young man lost track of time, the leaves were blocking the sun making it impossible to estimate how many hours has passed. He sighed heavily, breaking the low whispers carried by the wind. It was quite easy to see why this forest was nicknamed as the "Never-Ending Woods." One thing for sure, he wasn't turning in circle since he managed to moving unto on direction.
But he had to admit, he was getting lost. When he was about to give up, a small clearing became visible. Was it luck or fate? To be honest, he didn't care much. He smiled to himself as he made his way toward the clearing. Upon arrival, he would notice a small trunk laid on it side. It seems that it has served before, perhaps a temporary camp for another wanderer? In any case, it was going to be his resting place for now. He sighed, not because of the exhaustion; it was a relief to finally be able to simply sit down and enjoy the scenery
Then, a cracking was heard. Darius bounced back on his feet with his spear in hand. Extending his arm to point toward the direction of the sound, the young man stood silent for few seconds, unsure if he was pointing at the right direction. "Who goes there?" He asked very calmly. He slowly lowered his spear in a sign of pacifism. "Please show yourself, I mean no harm." His voice echoed between the branches, breaking the eerie silence.
Hopefully, it was no wolves.

What in the world caused Erik to come here, anyways? Oh right, that was simple; his curiosity overruled his judgment. He had seen these woods, thought they were interesting, and now was lost in them. He sighed, leaning against a tree to get his breath from all the frantic running and walking he had done. Only, his own thoughts were interrupted as he saw a clearing; causing him to grin like a madman. So, he wasn't lost, he knew he was going somewhere! Aw, who was he kidding? He didn't know anything about this place, but that wouldn't crush the fact that he finally found something other then trees. He walked toward the clearing, tripping over a a twig as it snapped in the process. "Ouch!" He exclaimed lightly, glaring at the twig. To top it off, there was now a man on the other side of the clearing pointing a spear at him. Well, the man couldn't see him at least, because he was behind a bush or something. He sighed, getting up and brushing the dirt off of his clothes. He closed his eyes, smiling at the man, doing the common hand motions when you want someone to put down their weapons. "It's fine, it's fine. I don't mean you any harm as well! If I did, then I may just pick up that twig and threaten you with it," He chuckled a bit, opening his eyes to see the man lowering his weapon. He knew he said something, he just didn't hear it over his own claims. If he didn't mean any harm, then he must be okay to approach. So, without a second thought, he began to walk toward the man. He took the moment to observe his surroundings, and now that he did look at it; it was rather pretty. Being of the artistic sort, he'd love to draw it. It was a pity he didn't bring his materials with him, though. "I do wonder why your here, or how you may have gotten lost..." He trailed off, loud enough for the man to hear him. It was partially a question, while he was party muttering to himself. He stop a distance away from the man, wondering if he should introduce himself or not. He didn't want to be rude, but he was the type to be talkative around strangers.

The rather clumsy arrival of the young boy left Darius rather puzzled. Certainly, he wasn't expecting that. He stood there, silent and with a confused look on his face. Oh well, as long he meant no harm. Fully lowering his weapon, Darius smiled and took a quick bow to greet the newcomer. He then proceeded to gently plant his spear upside down into the ground, cautious to make little sound so he might be able to hear the faint muttering of his new guest. It seems that he wasn't the only one that lost his way inside the Woods. A small laughter came out of his mouth as he went to remove his helmet.
"I'm trying to get to Vänar ." He simply said with while looking at his spear. "But I got lost." Darius turned his head to face the young boy with a small smile. Again, he took a moment of silence to think. The soft wind was traveling through his short hair, it was kinda... Refreshing. Slowly deposing his helmet on his spear as if he was afraid to break the silence, Darius simply looked at the boy without saying anything. It seems that he was simply enjoying the relax moment.
"And you?" He finally asked with an hint of interest. "How did you get lost?" He was obviously lost too judging how he also took a moment to look around and appreciate the view. And seeing how he was surprised to see him.

Erik noticed the man bow, so he mimicked the action quickly; before looking back at the woods. Even if they were beautiful, they did have an eerie feeling about them. He turned around to face the man as he spoke, bringing up Vänar. He slightly smiled, not knowing what to say to the man. "Vänar..." He trailed off, repeating the word as if it were something mysterious. To him, it would be; seeing he's never been in any town or village out of Arvila. He jumped back as the man asked his question, slightly startled by it; and... Not even knowing how he got lost. He closed his eyes, biting his lip as he thought of how to reply. Finally, he got something, he let out an irritated sigh before explaining himself. "Well... You see... I found these woods more then a few days back, and I figured I'd explore them. That's how I got lost..." He trailed off half the time in that conversation, but what else was he supposed to tell him? 'Oh, I'm an idiot who thought it'd be fun to get lost in the woods'? No, that definatly wouldn't work, even if Erik knew he was dumb to certain extents.
"I also don't like being home, it's dull; to crowded." He added, waiting to see if the man would comment. Sure, he hated to bore him with his life story, but he didn't know what else to say. The silence was rather awkward at the moment, or at least to him it was.

Darius basically stared at Erik's face while he talking. His eyes squinted a bit when the boy said he was exploring the woods. He didn't look very old at all. It was hard to know what was his actual age but clearly, he wasn't old enough to "explore" the Vänar Woods. Especially on his own with nothing on him. Darius continued staring at the boy like he was trying to read his mind or something. It was certainly an awkward silence. Was he a runaway or simply one of those curious youngsters? In either case, it would be better to escort him out of the forest as soon as possible.
He was about to say something when the young boy said something about his home being dull. The theory of him being a runaway became more plausible. His parents must be very worried bout him, it would be better to accompany him toward his home. And it would be best to do it before nightfall. Letting the silence intact for another short moment, Darius sighed before talking. "It is dangerous to go alone around here." his voice was tiny bit more serious than before. He opened his mouth to speak once more before realizing a great flaw in his logic.
They were both lost so helping him to go home was pretty pointless. Darius sighed again. "Let me be your companion for today." It was really more an order than suggestion. "I do not know what danger these woods hides, but I am sure that it would be wiser if we're two to face them" He paused again to choose his words. It seems that they would use this clearing as camp.
"Ok?"

Erik looked at the man, sighing at the look he was receiving from him. The man acted as if he were an alien, or something abnormal. He only nodded to the man's comment, before replying. "I know, I know. To tell you the truth, I did have a weapon; but such things like my brother takes off with them. Thus, I am rendered useless." He rambled, leaning against a tree next to to the stump the man was sitting by, closing his eyes and enjoying the distant sounds of nature. It was quite relaxing, if he did say so myself. He opened one eye to look at the man as he spoke. Something about him was... Different. Was it the fact that Erik was young that made him so willing to travel together, none the less protect him? He shrugged it off, smiling at the man. "Of course! Who am I to deny that offer? One thing, though; I still need your name. I'm Erik, who are you?"

Darius smiled back at the young boy. It was a good thing he was coopering. Honestly, he wouldn't have known what to say to convince him. Being used at following whatever his brother told him to, Darius wouldn't have asked him to stay if it weren't for his age and lack of weapon. Not to mention his clumsiness. But when he thinks of it more carefully, that's pretty much everything he knew about the boy. Oh well, at least he seems like a good guy.
Anyway, it wasn't really important. More importantly would be to find some dry wood and start making a camp. Oh and finding something to eat. But priorities first; presentations. "Darius." He took a pause to smile and relax. "Nice to meet you, Erik." Said the man while turning his head away to look around. Nothing in sight so far. It was both a good and an bad thing. Good because there's no enemy, bad because there's no food neither.
Erik did mention something about a weapon. That would be useful if things go wrong. But he would have to evaluate how good he really is with something potentially deadly in hand. Darius when to stare his spear then the scabbard attached to his belt. He would rotate between the two for a moment before fixing Erik again. What would suit him best? The spear might be too long for him. The sword is usually the most basic of all weapons so...
He detached the scabbard from his belt and extended his arm so that Erik would be able to reach it. "Show me what you can do." It was bound to be fun.

"It is nice to meet you too, Darius!" He stated somewhat happily, before his stomach started growling. He scowled, glaring at his stomach. Why now, why now? I mean, there was nothing here to eat, or anything he saw. He sighed, looking down at the grass as Darius held out a sword. He looked up, a bit taken aback by it for a few seconds; before grabbing what looked like a scabbard. He laughed a bit, gladly accepting it. "So I will! Only, I'm not as great with swords as I should be. But, I'll try to impress you!" He stated, grabbing the weapon. He carefully unsheathed it, setting the sheath down next to the tree and looking at the blade. It was well attended to, there was no doubt. It was also an interesting looking blade.
I would prefer a sparring match, though. He explained, moving back into a more suitable position. He'd be ready to move if Darius did accept his challenge. he held out the sword, ready to block any swings from that spear of Darius's. He was more of an observer, rather then the one to make the first blow. "Well then, lets start this, shall we?"

A challenge? It certainly took Darius off guard. He was rather expecting to see the young boy trying to swing the sword around like a madman. His smiled disappeared for a split second when he heard the word challenge only to reappear as big as usual. Without saying a word, he stood up to grab his helmet and quickly equipped it with one hand. He would then proceed to remove the spear from the ground twisting his wrist to swing the spear around so the head would point the sky and finally grabbing it with his right hand.
Normally, he would wait for his opponent to strike first but time, he was only he to see how well he could control the blade. He closed his eyes for a second to take a deep breath. Upon opening them, any hint of expressions would leave his face making bland like a living statue. Seeing that Erik was ready, Darius bent his knees and lowered his spear so that the head would be just below his eyes in front of him. A small squint of the eyes and He launched the first strike in a moderately fast speed toward Erik's left shoulder. If Erik would fail to parry the blow, Darius was actually quite focus to stop his blow before hitting the body. After all, they weren't here to kill each others.
Either if that blow would deemed successful or not, Darius would try to quickly leap to his right and swing his spear vertically in an attempt to hit Erik on the head with the wooden shaft. Such attacks would serve to see if Erik can quickly recover from being attacked at different angles. Alternating between a stab and a swing would also make Erik change the way he would have to parry. In other worlds, it was pretty much a basic test to see how fast he can react.

Erik observed Darius's actions as if he were a hawk, barely caught off guard by the man's quick movements. At the moment, he quickly blocked the man's attack, although it pushed him back a few. Damn, this man was tough! Then again, what else was to be expected from someone who was wearing armor? After that blow was done, he leaped at Darius, in attempt to graze his shoulder. Only, something threw him off from doing that, as he lost his focus and hit the ground. His stomach rumbled with regrets and complaints. "Can we finish this up later?" He complained, getting up and giving a rather dreary look at Darius. He hated himself for feeling so weak, his age probably didn't help. "I hate being young," He murmured to himself.

Darius abruptly stopped his swinging movement to avoid hitting Erik who seem to have collapsed on the ground. The sudden deceleration made the spearman lose his balance making him fall on his knees right next to Erik. His heartbeat was still pretty high due to the quick leap he did earlier. Taking deep breaths to slowly relax himself, Darius simply gave a small pat on the young boy's shoulder while nodding his head to say that it was alright to stop here.
It seems that they had a new problem here. Hunger. Hopefully, Darius had a full water pouch, so they won't die from being thirsty. But alas, he didn't had any food other than water on him. Mainly because camping outside wasn't in his initial plan. While slowly deposing his spear on the ground, Darius's eyes went searching around for any sign of small critters or animals they could easily hunt. The sun was going to set soon, they would also need to get a fire started.
Seeing how hungry his companion was, it would be logical that the young boy stays here to prepare the fire while he would go fetch their dinner. "Stay here," said the older man between heavy breathing. "Collect some dead branches to start a fire. I'll go try to get something to eat." After saying those lines, Darius quickly stood up and went to detach his armor and letting it fall on the ground. He removed his helmet again before grabbing his spear once more.
"Keep the sword. Just in case." Hopefully he won't be needing it to defend himself.

Erik nodded, watching as the man departed. He decided to use the back piece of the armor to dig a hole in the ground for the fire. Sure, it was difficult, but it worked all the same. He finished that, and discarded the piece of armor where the helmet was; running off to go fetch some wood. Most boys his age would most likely would have complained about doing such chores; but he didn't have a second thought about it. Wood was easy to find here, obviously, because it was the Woods; thus making his job easier. After picking up a few pieces, he returned to the camp putting the wood in the hole. He grabbed the sword, sitting down and leaning on the nearby stump. He grabbed two rocks randomly lying on the ground and did the average process of starting a fire. While the fire started, he sat and leaned on the tree stump. Still waiting for Darius.
_______________
It was now night, and Erik tapped his foot. What was taking Darius so long? And his stomach already was arguing with him. "Oh shut up you," he growled at it, hearing a howl in the distance. Great, wolves, hopefully they wouldn't attack. He sighed, looking at the glow of the fire. At least he wasn't cold, and the fire was rather pleasant. Had he not been hungry he may have fallen asleep. Only, that'd make him see even more pathetic.

Prince walked through the woods as quickly as he can, while screaming at the tops of his lungs... Wolves...five of them, chasing after him. Sure he was an elf, but that doesn't mean animals like him at all. Dodging under a branch in his way, he found himself in a clearing of the forest, before long one of the wolves caught up to him and guess what? The idiot bit him...on the butt. Prince gave a quick yelp, before his face turned spiteful with anger.
Gripping his sword, Heidao, Prince began to slice at the creature, successfully cutting through the thick neck.
"HOW DARE YOU BITE ME?!?" Prince yelled going into overkill mode. Before another wolf caught up and like in a trance he began to cut up the other one as well and so on, until all four was down. The elf laughed maniacally while covered in the wolves blood saying,"Oh yes, that is what happens when you mess with me!"
"Oh right! The mirror!" he said, quickly taking out his mirror and fixing his hair. "Still amazingly sexy..."

Darius was trying to catch one rabbit by surprise for a while now. He silently followed him, waiting for the right moment to strike with his spear. He came a bit closer with his eyes stalking the critter like it was the only thing alive on Rodylia, holding his spear firmly. He was about to throw his weapon when both the rabbit and him heard someone screaming. The rabbit quickly went away while Darius stood silent, his eyes were moving swiftly to find where the screaming was coming from. Erik?
Darius began running awkwardly between the trees while trying to find his way back to the camp. Few branches scratched his face while others slowed him down. Finally some light, it must be the camp. A last sprint and ...
Erik, some guy looking at himself in the mirror with shredded pant around the butt area and dead wolves. Breathing heavily while trying to understand what just happened here, Darius start staring at both his companion and the new guy. "You guys ok?" He simply managed to ask between two heavy breaths. Without waiting for an answer, he turned himself to look at the one obsessed with the mirror. "You bleeding?"

Prince smoothed out his hair some more and made sure the silver blond didn't get in the way of his face complexion. Doing some more with smoothing out his hair, he winked to himself, before answering the man that had so rudely barged into his self care time. Than again, he might have entered his area.
"Nah, its all good! Wait..." he answered before picking up his mirror again and checked his smile. Soon, he sheathed his sword Heidao(which is much more important than he'll ever be) and turned to meet the people around him. The fight took most of his energy, but the wolves deserved to be sliced up for their insolence. His butt was off limits, as well as the rest of his body. At least nothing bit his wondrous face and hopefully that would never happen. Putting the mirror aside in his coat, he began,"So whats for dinner? Wolf meat anyone?"
